Improve quality control
Keep your production line moving
Inspection and tracking systems for manufacturers who want better visibility, tighter control and fewer production line problems
The most important part of your production line is the section which is unique to you. Rather than pitch off-the-shelf units aimed at more generic sections of a line, we appreciate that the most significant efficiency gains can often be made by instrumenting these high value sections in ways that are designed to address your specific production challenges.

Our process
We believe that the best way to improve a production line is to work with you to gain a thorough understanding of how your process works and the problems, QA blind spots, data gathering needs, process control and automation challenges that you face. Although these challenges are unlikely to be totally unique to your facility it’s almost inevitable that you will face special circumstances, environmental complications or unusual metrics that present distinct challenges - and opportunities for efficiency gains.
Understanding your line
We work closely with our customers on a technical level to gain a thorough understanding of your technical requirements and the full breadth and depth of the issues you wish to address - and to ensure we fully understand how your line works at the point of interest.
Developing the system you need
Once we’ve agreed on a specification and technique for your solution, we develop a system selecting from the most appropriate technologies and techniques, pulling from our toolkit of existing hardware and software components where appropriate to keep costs down but developing new algorithms and devices as necessary to meet your requirements.
Depending on the complexity of your requirements and the plan we agree upon, this stage might be anything from selecting an existing unit that meets your needs all the way through to a full R&D project to devise a new technological solution.
Interfaces for integration
We develop user and machine interfaces to meet the requirements of your application, designing our system to integrate into your existing line control architecture as frictionlessly as possible. We provide detailed documentation and support to your engineers and programmers as they integrate our device into your line control.
Installation and training
Depending on the size and complexity of the system we supply you may wish to either install yourself following our detailed installation manual or use our site engineers to perform installation for you. In either case we offer training for users, comprehensive documentation and access to our support team to help with any queries that may arise.
Service, Support and Spares
Once your system goes live we continue to offer support. With our own distribution hubs in the UK and Europe we provide easy access to spare parts, and our network of support engineers allow us to offer commissioning and maintenance visits alongside any remote support you may need.
We aim to support our customers in the long term, keeping systems in good condition with preventative maintenance and also developing upgrades and modifications as production requirements evolve over time.
Client feedback
Eagle is a part of our daily work and we use the information all the time. Dimensions, defects, hotspots etc.
The Emergent Design team is always available to help if required. It's a good feeling to work with a professional team.
We love Eagle. We get huge value from using the recorded data to avoid new problems.
If you need better visibility over your production line, more reliable quality control and to depend less on manual checking, Emergent Design can help. We design, install and support Automated Visual Inspection Systems (AVIS) for manufacturing facilities.
Common production line issues
- Product defects going unnoticed until too late
- Excessive waste and rework
- Manual spot checks that miss variation
- Products moving out of position and causing jams
- Limited real-time visibility of what is happening on the line
- Precise alignment of complex components
- Monitoring of processes in hostile environments
We can help you tackle these challenges, maximise efficiency, reduce waste, and boost profitability.
Making things better since 2011
For over a decade we've been using our expertise in machine vision to build systems which improve quality assurance processes and help production lines to run more smoothly and efficiently.
